Vranec Selection by CMB 2023: the results
The very first international competition dedicated to Vranec revealed its results this Monday, December 11th. International judges present for the occasion unanimously agree that the creation of this new competition is a real success, with the Vranec grape confirming the potential and unique character of Balkan wines. North Macedonia is the most represented country in terms of medals, while a wine from Montenegro wins the international revelation among the 94 participating wines.
Following blind tastings conducted by a selection of international judges, the Stari Podrum Vranac 2015 from 13.jul-Plantaže, originating from Montenegro, was voted the best wine of Vranec Selection by CMB 2023, thanks to its exceptionally harmonious and complex taste.
